New events
Closing Ceremony: Cooperative AI Course – Asia Cohort May 22 (online).
Hosted by AI Safety Asia (AISA), this is an opportunity for those interested in cooperative AI to get inspired by a thought leader in the field, celebrate this cohort’s achievements, and explore research possibilities in Asia’s cooperative AI landscape. The guest speaker will be Audrey Tang, Taiwan’s Cyber Ambassador and Digital Minister from 2016-2024.Beyond Single Models May 30 – June 1 (online).
Hackathon from Apart Research and Martian centered around building components for an Expert Orchestration Architecture – creating judges that evaluate model capabilities and routers that direct queries to the most appropriate specialized models. This may help move away from single points of failure toward distributed systems with multiple checkpoints.EA Summit: Paris September 13 (Paris, France).
This is a French-speaking event involving various talks and workshops. It's especially (but not exclusively) designed for those who want to discover effective altruism and its principles, and explore how to put their skills, time, or resources to causes where they can have the greatest positive impact – including AI safety.EAGxIndia 2025 December 13–14 (New Delhi, India).
This conference aims to provide a weekend of thought-provoking ideas and conversations sparking collaborations, career pivots, and friendships. There will be a special focus on promising high-impact initiatives seeking entrepreneurial leaders, opportunities to build skills and contribute to priority cause areas, and funding avenues to support efforts – all of that includes AI safety.
New training programs
AI Safety Operations Bootcamp May 27–30 (online).
Program from BlueDot Impact aimed at early-to-mid-career operations specialists who want to make AI go well. It will be optimized for the Delivery Adviser roles in the UK AISI's Research Unit, which are currently open for applications. Participants can choose to attend sessions on either Tuesday and Wednesday OR Thursday and Friday (next week).
